MyHappyDough is your personal baking journal. We only collect what the app needs to work — and we never sell your data.
Engaged ApS (Danish company reg. no. (CVR) 45866025), Julivænget 7, DK-6000 Kolding, Denmark, is the controller of your personal data in MyHappyDough. If you have any questions, write to sebastian@engaged.dk.
Account details: your email address, display name and password (stored encrypted — we cannot read it).
Your content: recipes, attempts with ratings and notes, photos, bake sessions, starter feedings, and community posts, comments and likes.
Technical data: strictly necessary cookies for login and language, plus a cookie remembering whether you have seen the intro tour. Statistics cookies from Google Analytics are set only if you say yes in the cookie banner.
Usage and statistics: we measure visit counts via Vercel Web Analytics (anonymous, cookieless) and — only if you say yes in the cookie banner — how the app's features are used via Google Analytics, tied to your account. We use it solely to improve the app (legal basis: your consent), and you can withdraw consent at any time in your profile or via Cookie settings at the bottom of the website. We use no advertising or profiling features, and Google Signals is off.
To provide the app: storing your recipes and attempts, keeping you signed in and showing your content on your devices (legal basis: our agreement with you).
For the community: content you actively choose to share — public recipe links, posts, comments and weekly-challenge entries — is visible to other users.
For search engines, if you say yes: if you choose to let the recipes you share appear in Google and other search engines, the recipe title, ingredients, method, cover photo and your display name are published on myhappydough.com. Your attempts, notes and ratings are never shared. It is off by default, you can turn it off again at any time under Profile → Share recipes with Google, and the recipes are then removed from the index (legal basis: your consent).
For security: preventing abuse and protecting your account.
We use three processors to run the app: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting) and — if you said yes to statistics — Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics). Your app data is stored in the EU; statistics data may be transferred to Google in the US under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. All providers operate under data-processing agreements.
We never sell or rent your data.
For as long as you have an account. If you delete your account (Profile → Delete account), your data is removed permanently — including photos and community content. Backups rotate out automatically shortly after.
You can view and edit your data in the app at any time, download a copy of everything (Profile → Export my data) and delete your account.
Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
The app is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account.
If we materially update this policy we will say so in the app. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
